From Workdays to Weekends: My Atlanta Coffee Go-To’s
There’s something about fall in Atlanta that makes coffee hit different.
Between early work calls, content edits, & weekend resets, I’ve been rotating through a few go-to coffee shops that keep my caffeine game strong …& my brain inspired.
These spots aren’t just about good coffee. They’re about good energy. The kind of places where you can plug in, zone out, or run into your favorite barista who already knows your order.
So whether you’re working from home (but not at home), catching up with a friend, or just vibing solo with a latte — here are the ATL coffee shops I’ve been loving.
The Cafés, Corners, & Cozy Spots in My Current Rotation
Let’s be real — Atlanta runs on caffeine. Some shops are quiet and cozy; others buzz with creative chaos. Grab your favorite mug (or travel cup) — here’s what’s been fueling me lately:
Nerdy Picks
Portrait Coffee (Historic West End) – A staple for a reason. Deep roast flavors, outdoor seating, & serious community roots. Every fall, I’m hooked on the Yams or Maple Bourbon latte… but this year? The Banana Bread latte has me in a chokehold. Total chefs kiss!
Ash Coffee (Va-Hi) – Soft lighting, tasty AF pastries, & the kind of energy that makes you stay longer than planned. Their croissant game is top-tier, & the baristas always serve main-character energy. Same team behind Junkman’s Daughter in L5p.
Radio Roasters (Decatur) – Bright, clean, & focused on the craft. No gimmicks here, just perfectly roasted beans & espresso. You’re welcome! Bonus: grab a bag to take home.
West + SouthWest ATL (Westside Bestside)
Café Bartique (Cascade) – Part coffee shop, part bar… it’s giving cozy ATL morning. Perfect for a post-walk sip or mid-day wind down.
404 Grounds (Westview) – Tucked inside a creative space, The Kenekt, it’s ideal for laptop days or catching up with your neighbors. Good vibes, local art, & even better energy. P.S. I really love the murals outside.
JPresso (Hapeville) – Bright, modern, & never misses. Seasonal drinks are always fun (& photogenic, I adore the vintage).
Bellwood Coffee (Riverside / Blandtown) – Smooth espresso, buttery pastries, and playlists that keep you in flow. Their team is so friendly — it’s the perfect “I need a minute” spot. Pro tip: They also opened inside Little Shop of Stories bookstore in Decatur. Check it out!
