🥪 ATL’s Best Sando’s (Because Not All Sandwiches Are Built Equal)

Let’s be real: Atlanta’s sandwich game is slept on. Here’s a love letter to best sandwiches in the city.

This isn’t your sad desk lunch situation. I’m talking crispy edges, messy sauces, sourdough that bites back, & flavor bombs that make you text the group chat mid-bite.

Whether you’re team stacked deli-style giants, spicy chicken chaos, po’ boys that slap, this list has a sando for every vibe. Get ready to fall in love — bread first.

Sink your teeth into this delicious list! Here are some of my all-time fave ATL sandos you need to try:

7 OF MY FAV GO-TO SANDOS

1️⃣ Gomos Sub Shop (Pop-Up)

Order: The Hot Italian or Cutlet

Why it hits: Homemade sesame seed bread, gabagool energy, and one of the best sandwich pop-ups in the city.

2️⃣ Tony’s ATL (Pop-Up)

Order: Chicago Beef Sammy + Walking Taco

Why it hits: Your favorite “beef dealer” (not the bear🐻). slinging Saucy, messy, and worth every bite.

3️⃣ Bonafide Deluxe

Order: Classic Cold Cut or Hot Italian. PRO TIP: Don’t sleep on the specials.

Why it hits: Um duh, Edgewood, the old spot I use live! Sandwiches, dinos, + cocktails. What more could you want?

4️⃣ Frazies Meat & Market

Order: I love every sandwich… but Hangover Special (Sunday only) is a must!

Why it hits: A full-service butcher meets gourmet deli — plus rotating sando specials.

5️⃣ The Little Hippo (Avondale Estates)

Order: Dealer’s choice — they keep it tight & right with a roating menu.

Why it Hits: No frills, just vibes. A low-key gem that nails flavor & consistency.

6️⃣ Nick’s Gyro

Order: Gyro with fries

Why it hits: Hearty & deeply satisfying. Super friendly staff!

7️⃣ How Crispy

Order: Hunny Boi & don’t sleep on the yucca fries.
