A Local’s Guide to Atlanta’s Best Farmers Markets, Butchers, & Mini Markets

From intimate mini-markets to neighborhood farmer gems & specialty butchers, here’s where to discover ATL’s most vibrant spots for fresh food, local goods, & community vibes.

🧺 My Go-To Picks

Grant Park Farmers Market – A Sunday staple with chef demos, & high-quality local produce.

Pro tip: Bring your knives, there’s a sharpening station on site called Sweet Hone Atlanta. You’ll thank me later.

Frazie’s Meat & Market – Cozy neighborhood gem with grab-&-go goods & plenty of local charm.

Pro tip: Don’t sleep on the Sunday hangover sando. I also swear by their seafood — shrimp + tuna steaks are my usual grab; & they’ve got solid specialty cuts like guanciale for us true pasta lovers.

Evergreen Butcher & Baker – The hype is real. Artisan bread, fresh meats, & serious community love. I also enjoy going during the Holidays, feels magical with the decorations.

Pro tip: Hit up Cheeseburger Sundays, but go early before they sell out.

Candler Park Market – Great wine selection, killer sandwiches, & perfect for those midweek restocks. Really saved me for pantry staples during the pandemic. ILY!

🌿 Metro & OTP Markets

  • Atlanta State Farmers Market (Forest Park) – One of the largest outdoor markets in the U.S. for wholesale & retail produce, meats, & garden supplies. Note: Lately, it’s been a little scarce — could be due to shifts in the political & global supply climate.
