A Local’s Guide to Atlanta’s Farmers Markets, Butchers, & Mini Markets

From intimate mini-markets to neighborhood farmer gems & specialty butchers, Atlanta has no shortage of places to find fresh food, local goods, & a little community while you shop.

Some spots are perfect for a quick pantry run. Others turn into a full morning ritual.

Here are a few of my go-to markets around Atlanta — plus a running list of weekly farmers markets worth bookmarking.

🧺 My Go-To Picks

Grant Park Farmers Market (Grant Park)
A Sunday staple with chef demos, noms, & high-quality local produce.

Pro tip: Bring your knives; there’s a sharpening station on site called Sweet Hone Atlanta. You’ll thank me later.

Frazie’s Meat & Market (Riverside)
Cozy neighborhood gem with grab-&-go goods & plenty of local charm.

Pro tip: Don’t sleep on the Sunday hangover sando. I also swear by their seafood — shrimp + tuna steaks are my usual grab. They also carry specialty cuts like guanciale for us pasta lovers.

Evergreen Butcher & Baker (Kirkwood)
The hype is very real. Artisan bread, fresh meats, & serious community love. I enjoy going during the Holidays, it feels magical with the decorations.

Pro tip: Hit up Cheeseburger Sundays, but go early before they sell out.

Candler Park Market (Candler Park)
Great wine selection, killer sandwiches, & perfect for those midweek restocks. Honestly, this place saved me during the pandemic for pantry staples. ILY!

🌿 Metro & OTP Markets

Atlanta State Farmers Market (Forest Park)
One of the largest outdoor produce markets in the U.S., offering wholesale & retail produce, meats, & garden supplies.

Notes: Lately, it’s been a little scarce — could be due to shifts in the political & global supply climate.

🥬 Neighborhood Markets & Butcher Shops

When you need quality meats, specialty cuts, or a quick little neighborhood stop, these are the places I check first.

Butchers & Specialty Markets

Frazies Meat & Market (Riverside)

Pine Street Market (Avondale Estates)
Butcher known for house-made sausages & specialty cuts.

The Spotted Trotter (Reynoldstown)
A dream for charcuterie lovers, this is your spot.

Pure Quill Superette (Edgewood)
Formerly The Chop Shop (IYKYK). Beautiful, refined meats & ready-to-cook local proteins & produce. Don’t forget to stay for lunch!

Kinship Butcher & Sundry (Virginia-Highland)
A boutique butcher with curated meats & pantry goodies. They also offer breakfast sandwiches.

Notes: They do offer a supper club. The small business is also opening a new restaurant in May 2026 called Kinsip + Academy.

Neighborhood Mini Markets

Westview Corner Grocery (Westview)
Community-driven & stocked with both essentials & hidden gems.

Grant Park Market (Grant Park)
Compact, but solid for local produce, snacks, & quick market runs.

Ollie’s Market (Grant Park)
A charming neighborhood grocery with curated pantry goods, wine, deli & cozy café energy.

Mikkelson’s Market (Reynoldstown)
Packed shelves with pantry goodies & quirky finds.
